A Passion for Helping
When you ask Dr. Tanita why he became a doctor, he’ll smile and tell you it is all about helping. The answer may sound cliché, but it remains at the heart of why Dr. Tanita is passionate about healthcare.
He loves sharing life-changing moments with his patients. Guiding women through their first pregnancies, teaching patients to manage complex medical issues, and helping women to feel healthy and beautiful at every stage of life are some of Dr. Tanita’s favorite parts of being a doctor.
Your Partner in Life’s Special Moments
Dr. Tanita still remembers the first baby he delivered during his medical residency. Initially, he had planned on practicing medicine as a family doctor, but when he delivered that first baby, he was blown away. The arrival of new life was such a special moment for the patient and her family. Being there and playing an essential role in the successful delivery was a defining moment for Dr. Tanita. When he delivered his second baby, he knew that he would become an ob-gyn. No other medical specialty even came close for Dr. Tanita.
Life is filled with special moments, and as an ob-gyn, Dr. Tanita is there to help you navigate many of them. From fertility counseling to birth control, pregnancy to menopause, your ob-gyn is with you through life’s many changes and transitions. Dr. Tanita looks forward to providing compassionate and caring medical care through every stage of life.

Henderson Women’s Care isn’t your typical ob-gyn practice. From our very beginning, we have been passionate about making women’s healthcare more accessible and approachable. Our practice was designed with the patient’s needs at the front of the experience.
As you meet with Dr. Tanita, you’ll notice that he takes his time. He wants you to understand your options and is willing to spend an extra few minutes answering questions and explaining options and procedures in depth. Dr. Tanita will always share his recommendations and advice, but he knows that only the patient can choose the best path forward. He guides and advises so you can make an informed decision about your medical care.
Dr. Tanita’s Training and Education
Dr. Tanita’s undergraduate training began at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He attended medical school at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed his residency at Bayfront Medical Center in Saint Petersburg, FL. Dr. Tanita is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
As an ob-gyn, Dr. Tanita is trained as both a physician and a surgeon. He specializes in patient care and education as well as advanced surgical techniques, including robotic surgery, for women’s health and maternal care.

As a board-certified ob-gyn, Dr. Tanita specializes in women’s healthcare. He has advanced training in surgical, non-surgical, and minimally invasive techniques to optimize female sexual health, including pregnancy and menopause.
After seeing that many patients were interested in aesthetic treatments to fade stretch marks or rejuvenate the skin, Dr. Tanita has also received training in aesthetics. Henderson Women’s Care offers patients a variety of advanced aesthetic treatments to help patients look and feel their best.

Dr. Tanita - A Family Man
Dr. Tanita has been married to his sweetheart since 2000. Together they share three adorable children and two of the sweetest dogs. Dr. Tanita and his family love to travel and are passionate foodies, always searching for the next delicious bite.
Dr. Tanita and his family love the beautiful Henderson area and have lived locally since 2011.
Dr. Tanita’s Interests and Hobbies
Delivering babies is one of Dr. Tanita’s favorite things to do, but when he isn’t in the delivery room or here at Henderson Women’s Care, you’ll find him enjoying all that beautiful Henderson has to offer. Dr. Tanita loves spending time with his wife and children, especially when traveling.
You may see Dr. Tanita and his family on the trail (he’s an avid hiker) or riding the waves (he loves to surf). Dr. Tanita also participates in CrossFit and Jiu-jitsu.
